Blooming In The Darkness
Mind-Body Grief Support Program
Grief and loss are often dark experiences that many wish to either avoid or rapidly solve. Grief is a personal journey, never the same for any two people. Grief can challenge our deepest sense of who we are, and what lies ahead. Perhaps we can learn to welcome the experience of grief as an opportunity to grow in wisdom, compassion and recognize the transformative power of grief and loss. It is important to remember; grief waits on welcome, not on time.
The following are individual opportunities that offer a unique rest stop as you journey through grief!
Kathy also offers individual support through her services of massage therapy and transformational bodywork.
“Hope begins in the dark; trust the dawn will come. Wait, watch and work; and don’t give up.”
~Anne Lamott
“Our wounds must be tended by more than the frantic activity of getting on with it.”

Grief never ends, it simply changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of
weakness, it is a price of love!

The following are individual opportunities that offer a unique rest stop as you journey through grief!
- Grieving Mindfully –handle your grief with care. Grieving mindfully allows you to accept the many lessons that loss offers. Exploring the transformative search for meaning in grief and loss can be a positive potential in any grief journey. In this class participants will learn ways to integrate loss into your life, while working with your loss mindfully and with care.
- Your Grieving Body – inviting your body into your grief journey. When you grieve, your body also grieves. Explore the impact grief has on your body and your health. Each participant will learn ways to bring healing and renewal to your body/mind. Give yourself permission to commune with your grief and feel it in your body.
- Healing through Story Telling and Ceremony – remembering and celebrating. Story telling is one of the oldest healing arts. Story telling validates the importance of your grief journey. When we share in a sacred circle with others who are grieving, it is said we are “held in common.” To be held in common is to feel heard, to feel seen and to feel held in Love.
- The Inner retreat – nourishment for mind, body and spirit. Participating in this day retreat, individuals will experience time for self- reflection, group discussion, guided meditation, body centered exercises and ending with music & ceremony. This day offers an opportunity to discover and welcome the wisdom of one’s inner experience.
